I won't dodge the question...yes, I was rooting for the Lakers lol... been rooting for em since '63 listening to Chick Hearn describing Jerry West, and Baylor, and various supporting casts over the years and many titles (and runner-ups) they accumulated..
BUT.. I was smart enough to see the writing on the wall after the Nuggz won gm 3 @ LA... and I placed a 'futures' bet on Nuggz to win da Title...
I think whenever a team goes thru an emotionally draining 7gm series and has to play just a few days later on the road vs a rested (over-rested) team at their hm, it's advantageous to the rested team, especially when it's Mile-high altitude, thinner air, etc.. along w/the fact.. Denver's very good, and has a great home crowd!
Jokic has shown he can score from all over the floor.. he can dribble the floor.. he can distribute the ball to teammates w/either hand.. from all over the court.. he's frggn great!
Murray has shown that he's got the ability to score 30 in any half, any time.. and their supporting cast can also hit 3s (unlike the Lakers w/mainly just Reaves shooting well consistently from deep).. its a well-rounded team and they've been on a mission, and they're not done.
I think it's possible to say Jimmy Butler's mission was to get bk to the conf finals and defeat Celtics (which he promised after losing last yr).. well, mission accomplished!
today I saw Denver was -430/100 (take back on heat +330)
If n when Nuggz win gm 1, it'll climb higher (mebbe -550/+450 ?), and if they win first 2 gms even higher I'd think...at which point if I'm gonna hedge, that'd be the time!
I lost on Lakers series bets (-$260), but did win the individual gm bets, but hopefully can recoup series loss and make a lil on top!
So, I've got Nuggz to win series .. $600/400..
and I'm also gonna bet Nuggz in gm 1 (buying 2 pts).. probably just 150/100.. and then look for "live betting" stuff.
