I usually focus more on College Hoops, but still emphasize on Pro as well.
Lines that I will be playing:
Minnesota -PK
This line seems odd to me. I have made a significant return betting on the T'wolves this year and see this continuing tonight. The Hornets will be short-handed again playing without West and Chandler. Their reserves have not made enough of an impact to make me change my thoughts on this game. I like Minnesota's tenacious approach this year and they have been playing very well losing only twice so far in January going 7-2 during that span. Playing at home against a depleted New Orleans team looks way too appetizing. Best play by far tonight.
New York -5.5
I think the Knicks are playing their best ball they have all season and now get a struggling Memphis team tonight. The Grizzlies can have brief moments where they look very athletic led by Gay and Mayo, but never can put it together for a complete 48 minutes. This is their first game since they fired Coach Iavaroni, which could give Memphis the push they need. However, with the Knicks at home and playing as well as they are right now I think it will not make any difference. I am very content taking a better team -5.5 at home against a less than stellar squad who plays consistent occassionally.
Indiana/Houston Over 209
This game features an offense that is perhaps the best in the Eastern Conference in the Pacers and a Houston team that has taken to a more offensive minded approach ever since McGrady and Artest went down with injuries. This has resulted in some big wins for the Rockets and most of all they look and feel comfortable playing that uptempo style of play. This is music to the ears for Indiana who just wants to get involved in a track meet with every team they play. Expect this game to be fast and the point total to be exceeded.
Wish everyone the best of luck! I might come back with some later games. A big day in college basketball tomorrow.
