My first real test, as all but one game will be played early tonite, so I should be available for all games except the LAKERS. I will tell you in advance, I don't expect the LAKERS to have the lead early. It looks like JACKSON is tinkering with the lineup some in the first half, (mainly trying to get S. Walker playing within the system) so I look for LA to be tied or trailing at HT. If that's the case, lay up to -8 with LA in 2nd half as they have dominated the SUNS recently, and I look for them to do so again tonite, although I'm reluctant to lay the DOUBLE DIGITS. Also, I foresee a lower scoring first half, and if they are at or around 90 pts at the break, take the over in 2nd half also. It should be around 96, and I look for this game to land around 190. Possibly 102-90 LAKERS... JACKSON does not want to lose this game, and he'll have KOBE, SHAQ, & CO in high gear in the latter parts of this game... that being said, here's the current record, and let the games begin!

Thanks for the injury heads up, huge factor in my capping. I was already leaning to playing the UNDER in 2nd half of that game, and if those two are out, well...

VC has been sitting out 2nd halves to date with that knee......not only are he and Dirk scorers, but defensive liabilities too so under looks strong.....

DAL at TORONTO

TOR is hitting nearly 60% from the field, having hit 29 of 50 shots for 58%. DAL meanwhile has managed to get off only 37 shots total, and hit 16. DIRK N. left this game early, greatly effecting DAL's ability to score. VINCE also left early in 2nd half, so look for a lot less scoring in 2nd half. I'm expecting DAL to make major adjustments in 2nd half, and work the offense thru FINLEY and HOWARD and get this game down to 10 pts at most. TOR still wins, but not by 20. My play is two fold...

Orlando at INDIANA

Taking the MAGIC to come back in this one... at -4.5, I can still lose the game by 3 and cover this bet. UNREAL amount of FT's being shot so far, as neither team is shooting the lites out from the field, but both are parading to the line. IND has great FT shooters, so that concerns the total, but I still see the better team getting back into this one and making it go down to the wire...

Chicago at BOSTON

BOST leads this game 48-41 despite being outshot by da Bulls. Game is being played at a slow pace as only 76 shots have been taken to this point. BOS has an 8 pt advantage at the FT line, and that is why they are winning. CHI is not a good FT shooting team, and BOS is, which may be a factor late. I'm passing this game, although I'd lean to Chi and the pts, and possibly the UNDER. Too close to call, but +13.5 with Chi is probably the best lean.

NYK at CHARLOTTE

This game has both teams shooting well and hitting threes right now, and that accounts for the 105 FH points... with a line of 89, we get to go UNDER 194, or 20 pts MORE than the original opening line on this game. With both teams at nearly 50% from the field, and hitting well from 3 pt land, I look for both teams to cool and this to slow down considerably. CHAR has some foul concerns with PJ BROWN and E CAMPBELL, so I'm not touching the side in this one. I think NY will try and work the ball inside when they can, trying to force fouls on those two, and therefore slow the tempo down. A close game concerns me too, as we have a possibility of OT... hopefully, CHAR pulls away early.

CLEV at MIAMI

WOW!!! CAVS are shooting lights out right now, and they are NOT that good. MIAMI prides themselves on DEF, so look for that to pick up BIG TIME in 2nd half... I LOVE THIS UNDER as CLE only shot 32 times the whole half, they just hit 18 of em. ALSO, 4 of 5 3 ptr's is not common. MIA will pull this game out I feel, but I'm not laying 10.5 and expect a 4 pt win. I will however look for this game to land around 178, and stay easily under the 90 pt line in 2 half.

New Jersey at DETROIT

Too things in this game... NJ hasn't shown up and DET is playing well. Can DET continue, probably, but not by this margin. Look for NJ to get the offense going in this one and get this one under 10 by games end. DET can win by 10 exactly and you still cover in this one, and FOR THE FIRST TIME, I'm recommending an OVER play on the total. With it being at 95, and NJ not having shown up yet, I look for this game to land near 200, Det winning, 102-98.

Memphis at MINNY

Not much time, but basically taking the UNDER in this one... both teams shot well, but only 7 ft's in this game??? EITHER they aren't getting called, or no DEF is being played. Look for that to change, and the FG% to drop in the 2nd half... going UNDER the 97.5 is 210.5 for the game, and I can't see it getting close to that.

Ouch... start out 4-1 and lose three straight to fall to 4-4 on the nite. To make matters worse, all three could have easily won. Missed NJ by 2.5, the total by 1, and the MINN total by 2.5. The MINN game was the hardest to take I think, a 56 pt fourth quarter, 30 by MEMPHIS!

Oh well, I'll be glad to have my worst nite go 4-4...
