I've gone stone cold after being unrealistically hot. Not sure what to make of it. Maybe I just became a whole lot dumber overnight. It sure feels that way.

Two plays tonight...neither of which I am super-excited about.

Phoenix +3 at Utah

Utah's got some serious defensive problems, giving up a minimum of 92 pts in each of the last 7 games. This is against offenses which are not the cream of the crop. Phoenix's offense is starting to get it together and this team is slowly and quietly improving. A setback in Dallas only helps the Suns here I think as they get refocused to get back on track. The Mavs just shot an unbelieveable % from the floor and Phoenix could not keep up. I look for Phoenix to hit at least 100 here, and that should be good enough to cover the spread. I looked at the Over too, but I don't know about Utah holding up their end of the bargain.

Concerns: I've been riding this anti-Utah thing for a while and it's been working, but while the earlier non-covers were easy, they're getting closer now. I'm also thinking it may be asking a bit much from the Suns to win this road game after jetting from Memphis to Dallas to Utah in the span of 4 days. But Phoenix in my opinion is quite a bit superior to the Jazz right now, and I think they can overcome it.

Sacramento -5? (First Half) at Memphis

I guess it would be too obvious to say the Kings are the better team huh?

Well, the fact remains, not only is Memphis a bad team SU, but they are bad ATS too. There are some bad SU teams that are actually good bets ATS, but this isn't one of them. They DID manage to cover their last game against Detroit (minus Stackhouse), but I didn't see much in the game to give Grizzlies fans optimism. I really thought the Pistons just could not get into any sort of groove minus their star and they allowed Memphis to hang around.

Sacramento on the other hand is coming off a couple of hard-fought wins at home, and now start this four-game road trip with a soft opponent, before having to take on the three tough Texas teams. It's possible[/b] they could take this game for granted, but after the scare they got vs NJ the other night I think they will be alert, and want to get off on the right foot. Against these weaker-types Sac tends to, and should, get off to a big early lead so they can get their starters off the floor and give them a rest going into tomorrow night's game @ Houston. So for that reason I'm just taking them for the 1st Half.

O.K. Sac was so close to covering the half but shit happens........you were right about leaving them alone in the 2nd half. I got Phonix on $$ line so all not too bad. Give us some winners tommorrow okay!

Hey alb,

Ya, I know, a $(@$*!@( half-point loss on Sac after they built a 12-point first half lead. Well, sheeeeeet happens I guess. At least Phoenix pulled it out. Tomorrow's another day.
