This is not affiliated with MadJacks in anyway, so I hope this is OK to post here (if not, I apologize).
The contest will include non-members of Madjacks as well. I am looking for more pool participants so I hope we can find some interest on here.
Here are the rules:
- Every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday I send out the lines for the pair of TV games taking place that day. I can post them here too.
- You make one pick from each game, either ATS or over/under the total. Two picks per day max and you must have one pick on each game.
- Picks must be sent to my e-mail before the start of the games. We can also start a thread where you can post them on here if we get enough participants from MadJacks.
- A winning pick is worth 2 points, but you can make one (and only one) of the picks in a single day worth 3 points.
- A losing pick is worth -2 points, unless it's a 3x pick, in which case it's worth -3 points.
- If you don't send me a pick on a game you get a -1.
- If you forget to send a pick for the early game, you can still send me one (and only one) pick for the 2nd game that day, which can be worth up to 3x. You will still get a -1 for the early game.
- I keep track of everything in a spreadsheet and send out the standings with everyone's picks after the first game starts each night.
- Buy in is $50/person for the season and money must be received in order to start making selections that will count. I can do paypal, chase quickpay, WF surepay, Venmo & google wallet. Yes, you can send a check, but that takes longer.
- At the end of the season, the top 3 in the standings will be paid out. The payouts will be determined by the total number of participants in the pool (because I like to make the payouts nice round numbers), but the payout split will most likely be around 65/25/10% for 1st/2nd/3rd. It will work out where 3rd place gets their money back. I may also throw in a little extra something to sweeten the overall pot.
Let me know in this thread if you are interested and hopefully Jack or IE can give you my e-mail to set up payment and get the daily sheet. I will keep new entries open up until the start of next Wednesday's games. Those people that start late will receive a zero for any days they didn't make picks until money is received.
