Man you're one of the best here. Respect.
How do you believe they have enough in the tank to take on a big and tough Memphis team ?
Six road losses in a row ? Why ?

Memphis is sooo tough at home and Lakers have literally burned me more this year than any other team. I keep betting them thinking they will turn it around but when you watch this team, they have NO system on defense and each offensive possession looks like a journey. They are stuck with the ball in their hands with 4 seconds left on the shot clock far too often and with no idea what to do with it. It really looks bad........so not to rain on this pick.......but what makes you think the Lakers turn it around on the road too boot? Really curious. Trust me, I want to pound the Lakers but they have shown me nothing to trust them. GL!

Wasn't really thinking about playing a side in this game. Looked at the early total and at first glance I like the under. I'll wake up tomorrow and check out the lines but I'd love to hear your angles on this match up.

Keep rollin', Jord. You're as solid as they come.

No one in their right mind would bet the Lakers right now. Everything looks really hopeless.

You would feel like you are throwing your money away at this point betting on them.

This is why they will win.

I agree with what you and Jord are saying......but match up wise and the fact the Lakers are horrible on the road and Memphis sooo good at home, just trying to see why you like them so much. That is all. GL!

There's THIS.

This line is a little short, although I was hoping for 3. It is the perfect time for the Lakers to get out of their rut. I think losing to the Bulls without Rose and Deng was rock bottom. THe BUlls hit a lot of long shots in this game... the Lakers had their chances. Kobe looked bad and tired, but I felt the effort was there. This is the last leg of the road trip and then they go home for a while. They need to dig in and they will.
In the midst of how bad the Lakers have been, it has gotten overlooked how bad Nash is. I mean, maybe he still needs time to get into better shape, but his defense is atrocious. I don't think Conley will be able to exploit that too much because he isn't a great shooter. I also think Nash will be comfortable against the somewhat slow Conley.
Memphis is tough, especially at home. But they have had a lot of trouble scoring lately. If Nash and Kobe can get it going a little bit, I think Memphis won't be able to keep up. Memphis is thin on the bench now, and the savvy Lakers will take advantage.
I haven't got burned by the Lakers too much this year, and I have faded them with success at times. I don't think this is one of those time.
It is a gut play. I like the matchup, I like the situation. I like the turmoil. I like the memphis trade. I think all signs point to a Lakers victory tonight. If ever to make a statement, it's tonight. Not sure if that's what you guys are looking for; but, in short, that's the way I see it.

I think the Lakers are going to win, and do it comfortably. :popcorn2

BIGG play for me.

I can't back them so another reason why they win this game...

With you on the lakers, also like Bobcats tonight. Think they see this as a game they can win and give max effort against a very thin Hawks team. Good luck!

Jord.
How has Nash been so bad ? Last game was :

Steve Nash vs Chicago
35 mins
18 pts
7-12 fg
2-3 3pt
2-2 fts
4 reb
5 assists

Kobe is just as bad on defense this year he can't stay with anyone. I really hope you win tonight. I just cannot see them winning on the road.
Now with all the talk of Howard being traded AGAIN.

Good luck Jord - Lakers need to get back to pounding the ball in to Howard. It worked for a few games, and then the Heat shut it down. I'm thinking also maybe they just need to fire D'Antoni and let Kobe coach! He seems to have absorbed some zen from the master, with his post-game actions after the Bulls game. As a piano player myself, I could completely relate to his moment, and the power of music. I used to be a huge Kobe "hater", but the more I read about him, the more I like him. He brings it, that's for sure.

Bulls have dominated the Pistons in recent history - any thoughts on that game?

Thoughts

Hey Jord,

Thanks for all your good advice. :toast:

What are your thoughts on NO +8.5 at SA tonight? I know the Spurs are a very deep team, but Duncan and Leonard are both sitting tonight and Manu is playing for the first time in a couple of weeks. As much as I dont like taking NO against the best team in the league at home, I think tonight is a good spot for Nola, especially with their improved play of late.

Also, Anthony Davis IS playing tonight for NO and the Hornets (Pelicans, whatever) have won 7 of their last 9 games. Not to mention they beat the spurs straight up in Jan.
