10-11 YTD NCAAB
Don't always have time for write ups, but here goes.
(Wisconsin Milw +9)A 2 unit play here. A close game last year and Wisc Milw return all five starters including 6?-3? senior forward Clay Tucker who connected on 40.7% of long range attempts. Wisconsin is at home but I'll take 9 points with a VERY talented Wisc Milw team.(2 units)
(Wright St -6) A very good home team with a strong front court returning. Akron was weak on the boards last year.
(Detroit -6) Bowling Green loses its all-time scorer Keith McLeod. Detroit plays good defense returns some solid seniors in Terell Riggs and Willie Green who both averaged double digits. Bowling Green is rebuilding and Detroit gets revenge from last years loss.
(BostonCollege -8.5) St.Joes returns Jameer Nelson who is an excellent point guard. Trouble is he is all that returns.Boston College has four returning starters including senior guard Troy Bell (21.6 ppg). Ryan Sidney is also healthy again. BC should pull away in the second half.
(UL Lafayette +11) Louisiana-Lafayette has a very solid frontcourt with 6?-6? senior Anthony Johnson and 6?-10?, 240-lb sophomore Michael Southall. Mississippi St won by 8 last year.I'll take the eleven in a revenge game.
(Depaul +1.5) Northern Illinois returns four starters but loses its leading scorer Leon Rodgers. Depaul returns Andre Brown who averaged double digits in points and rebounds. Depaul needs a point guard but I think they get by N Illinois.
(Utah St +1.5) Utah St has their leading scorer, Desmond Penigar back. Illinois St was tough at home last year but is weak on defense. I'll go with the size of Utah State's front line.
Good Luck!
