NCAA College Basketball is back at betED.com

The 2008-09 NCAA College Basketball season has arrived and betED.com has odds for more than 30 games on tap Friday night for basketball bettors.

It all gets started with the Florida Gators, ranked 19th in preseason polls, hosting the Toledo Rockets (6 pm ET, ESPNU).

Toledo will certainly have its hands full: Going back to last season, the Rockets have just one win in their past 18 road games and are 1-9 ATS in their past 10 on the road. Florida, meanwhile, is 19-6 SU in its past 25 at home.

The No. 2 Connecticut Huskies, the top-ranked team in action tonight, host the Western Carolina Catamounts (7:30 pm ET, ESPN360). UConn is a 26.5-point favorite and the over/under is 136.5 in betED.com College Basketball Odds.

Western Carolina is 1-14 SU in its past 15 on the road and Connecticut is 17-4 SU in its past 21 at home.

Later, the No. 10-ranked Purdue Boilermakers entertain the Detroit Titans (9 pm ET, ESPN360), with Purdue favored by 23.5 points and the total at 123 at betED.com.

The schools haven?t squared off since Nov. 23, 2004, when the Boilermakers won 66-56 at 4.5-home favorites.

Last season, Detroit went 0-5 SU in its last five, both overall and on the road, while Purdue was 12-1 SU in its last 13 at home.

The nightcap tonight features the Pac-10 Oregon Ducks hosting the Big Sky conference Northern Colorado Bears. The Ducks are 17-point favorites and the total is 150 at betED.com.
