Greetings...just found this sight today....looks like a lot of characters.....should be a fun season.....here we go:

0-0 YTD

TCU +4 Cincinnati

I like the points in this early season matchup.....TCU should be able to control the clock with a much stronger running game than last year (2.8 ypc).....i think TCU has a slight edge in special teams (which can be huge in an early season battle).....i REALLY like TCU's defensive line which should stuff Cincinnati's running attack and keep pressure on Guidugli....will call for the small upset.....TCU by 3.

Welcome to the forum. Good to have some more Alabama people here. Too bad that you are not also a Bama fan. ;)

Anyway, welcome and look forward to your comments.

state champs?....i guess so...although they did not have to play Larry Blakney's Troy State Trojans....i think that would be one helluva a battle....good luck this season!

My house is probably 5 minutes from yours, I live in right off Overton Road. I hope they are ready, we'll see - I know the whole town of Auburn down here is ready. The parties are ready to kick off - and the beer stores are about empty - :toast: :drinky: :toast: - Hopefully we can root the Tigers on to victory.

My mom taught at Irondale Community for many years, retired now. Lol - small world. Good luck tonight everyone in game.

Hey, fellas:

I'm unbiased regards to these teams, but liking Alabama and possibly Memphis this week. I think both may be dangerous dogs.

Will make a late play on:

Auburn +8 USC

I really like this Auburn squad.....started 6-1 last year before a late season collapse.....strong running game....strong defense...strong special teams..sounds like a live dog....i will call for an upset....auburn by 1

birm:

I won't disagree w/ you. I like Tubby in this spot. Have to say Duval doesn't necessarily have an edge here as place-kicker, tho. Davis(USC) was 15/18 last yr. Davis maybe more accurate, Duval better at 45+ distance imo.

GL, birm. Hope u cash.

true...davis may have more accuracy but duval does attemp a lot more from a greater distance...i think the real edge may be in the punting game.....duval averages almost 40 yards per punt...NET!!!!!...that is a weapon.....is USC still starting a freshman punter...last i heard they were...even if he is a high scholl all american i would doubt he could reach these numbers in this game....special teams are REALLY big in an early season matchup....looks like a great game!
