AKRON +16.5
OVER 64.5 AKRON

This game features a battle of, in my opinion, the two best quarterbacks in the MAC in Charlie Frye and Ben Roethlisberger. Both should have a field day in this contest. Last year these 2 teams combined for 79 points and I expect much the same this year as Akron is averaging 39.2 ppg and Miami, Oh is averaging 32.5 ppg. Also, considering the fact that the lowest offesive point total for Akron so far this year has been 24 that even if the Zips only do get 24, the Redhawks would have to hang 41 to cover thus pushing this one over the total of 64.5 and you'll have a split at worst. Of course that's if Charlie Frye is having an "off" day. If the guy has a normal "Frye" Day this Saturday, you're going to take both of these plays to the bank.

Good luck everyone :)

thanks boiler and horns and gl to both of you this weekend!

The early birds got the Akron at 20 or even 21. Basically it was just a bad line that was put out. The Zips lost by 17 last year, but that final score of 48-31 is a bit deceptive as the Zips were in the whole game and they have that same offense and even a more mature quarterback to keep it within the number in this one. Also in case you're wondering the line closed at around 8 last year even though it was at the Rubber Bowl.
