love the wake forest play. wake actually played the wolfpack fairly closely in total yardage and first downs, just couldn't get the ball in the end zone and got outplyed on special teams. i'm still mad at myself for playing on purdue this weekend, they were underwhelming at best. i'm real big on navy laying 3- to northwestern. if duke goes on the road and mounts one long sustained drive after another against the nw defense, navy will run all over them. of course, i also like the wolfpack getting three from texas tech. pack may have similiar offense to ole miss but is way, way better on defense.

loophole....got a few more games capped along with Navy and I think you're right on with this Navy play. Agree, should run all over this Northwestern defense...if the game is close, chances are Navy will have worn down northwestern enough to be able to open up the lead late. Also, Navy has had an extra week to prepare with the bye and you gotta feel they'll be ready for this one especially after whippin the wolfpack put on them in their last game.

Speakin of your Wolfpack, you seem to have this team down to a tee from the stuff I've read around here. I haven't capped too much on this game yet and with the line already off the +3 at my books, I'll hold off a bit, but agree with the defense bit, and seems like NC State has had success in the past vs teams that rely on their passing game.

Adding 2 games for now:

NAVY -3 (1 UNIT)
ARIZONA +6 (1 UNIT)

Still a lot of games to go through.

Arizona

Wisconsin is having major problems on offense. I love Arizona. Wisconsin has played 4 games this year and none of the teams had a very good or experienced qb. Badgers have been a terrible favorite and everyone is just shutting down the badger running game. I have gone to a couple of Badger games the last few years very quiet crowd. Badgers have had major problems in the last few years with very fast teams. Good luck on all your games.

ndnfan, wondering if you still liked ul-monroe now that coach keasler has resigned. to me it seems like it takes away all the motivation that would have flowed from monroe losing to keasler's old team. i have ark state as my "bad football game of the week" play based up this and some other factors. had the writeup almost done and then my wife sat down at the computer and closed the window and wiped it out.. hopefully i'll have a chance to work it back up this afternoon.

loophole......to be honest with ya, if I was looking at the game now, I'd probably layoff it, but still lean towards Monroe.

Definately didn't like hearing the resignation and was actually debating whether to buy the game back or not after the Keasler announcement, but decided to keep it. From what I was able to find, It looks like Monroe players are still very focused on this game and know the importance of it being the Sun Belt Conference opener (I say that hesitantly, because of the situation) But feel the players respect Collins and with the bye next week are concentrating on this game, especially after starting off 0-3.

I feel Defense is gonna be the key and deciding difference in this game...PERIOD!

Arkansas St is gonna wanna run the ball, and feel Monroe will be up to the task. They ranked right up towards the top of the conference last season in rush defense along with scoring defense and turnover margin. This was also starting very young players...mostly freshman and sophmores and this season, I believe they have 9 starters back on the defensive side, so I expect them to be up to the task.

Now all this being said, play with caution as motivation is a huge factor in college sports and with the Keasler resignation as with any such situation, there are some question marks, but gonna stick with it, especially since I spent the extra money on the half and from the info I have on the team status as "ready for this one" I'm just not willing to buy it back and take the juice loss. We'll see what happens.

Good luck!

Jr.....you hit it right on the head when you talk about defense in this game. Now I'll tell you my deciding factors why I have A&M as a play:

Both teams very solid on defense, wouldn't be surprised to see a low scoring affair, but feel Texas A&M will be up to the task. Va Tech would love to run the ball all game as that's what they do best, but it's just not gonna develop for them in this one. The Texas A&M defense is only allowing a very stingy average of 1.1 yards per carry so far which ranks 4th in the nation in a rushing defense and that's where a big key in this game comes in:

Va Tech is playing their first road game in this one and if the Aggie rush defense is as good as advertised, the Hokies are gonna be forced to throw the ball vs a very good Aggie secondary. Not good news for Va Tech especially playing in a hostile environment like Kyle Field is......the game is kinda reminding me of last week's Penn St-Nebraska game with the crowd and the young qb not used to "Road Noise Factor"

Texas A&M just does not lose at home. It's always been one of the toughest places to play, especially under Slocum......Last 5 seasons, they are 28-3 at home and as a dog are perfect at 5-0

Good luck to you this weekend :D

Having 2 kids in school at Ohio U. I watched them for the last couple of years. They are a bad football team. They are averaging less then 7 points a game.

Love the Conn. play.

Good luck today
