So Ill may well win, but I have a hard time understanding the argument that they are "the better team" and a need to jump on ther play - another senseless seed with no basis on papaer. moe, zags league was pretty darn competitive this year--im not a conf. grinder who rates them etc--but zags and every team in league have been tested many times ... usf beat zags and lost by 2; only one team finished under 50% for year in total schedule ... that said, I have no idea about salukis other than jack hartman coached clyde there and won the NIT one year

if st marys dosnt win a home in confrence game agaist the zags [turiaf was hurting and played minimal mins that game if i remember correctly]they are not in this tourney.i may be wrong but i think the salukis hammer them.

the salukis have also been here before.experience factor; major edge.and i dont know if this would go under the revenge factor but they lost by 1 pt in the first round to eventual elite 8 team alabama.SALUKIS BIG.

Also remember that St. Mary's began the season without Paul MArigney arguably their best player- He can create off the bounce or pull up. Solid player- IMO ST. Mary's has a slight edge because Marigney and Brooks will factor each other out and IMO the next 4 for St. Mary's are better then the next four for SIU.
