YTD: 5-0
Easy win with Princeton last nite; hope some of you played the ML
PICK: MARIST -1.5
Box and One gives a nice write-up but with a different pick; only a couple of things I can add: Minny's Tollackson is a big slow white guy who is hitting a miserable 43% from the field...miserable given that most of his shots are taken from about 2 feet away. He had a big game vs Iowa State because their big man Hubalek was out with a 6-game suspension. The rest of the team can't shoot any better: vs a poor Iowa State team, Minny shot just 39% from the field. The difference vs Ohio is that the Bobcats have big boys that can shoot...that kid from the Netherlands looked good vs Yale.
I think Marist's senior guards will prevail in this one, and that MIN will fall victim to their youth and inexperience that hurt them in that Iowa State loss at home where they led the whole game and gave it away at the end. The pressure of the tourney and ESPN tv cameras will be too much for them. I think Marist gets out to a quick start and never looks back.
I also like the fact that 72% of the public is on Minnesota and that the line is moving the other way!
good luck.
