My top play for the night is Auburn - 8 1/2 over Western Michigan. Auburn is leading the nation in field goal accuracy at 55% a game. Defensively they have been just as tough. Western Michigan is coming off a 20 point victory of Centenary but Auburn is no Centenary and Western Michigan will probably find themselves on the other end of a 20 point loss tonight.
Will also be playing Gonzaga +3 1/2 over NC state or I may wait until game time to see how many more points the public wants to give me on this one. I see this game in the same light as yesterdays Pepperdine game. Another irrational judgement on a team based on a previous loss to a good team. I am referring to Gonzaga's loss to Georgia. Georgia is an excellent team and they are just one of a couple of tough teams Gonzaga has had on their schedule this year. On the other end NC State has been playing nothing but cream puffs. Ill gladly take the 3 1/2 and more if it comes my way.
Third and final play is Oregon -5 over Cincinnati. This one worries me somewhat because it seems like such a no brainer and the line movement is going the obvious way towards Oregon. You have the fifth ranked team in the nation playing a team that has already lost to Xavier (no shame there) Dayton and barely got by Lasalle. Yet we are only laying 5 points. Ill have to bite. Oregon has so much more depth on the offensive side of the ball I just dont see how the Bearcats can run with these guys since they have no depth whatsoever. The Lasalle bench outscored the Cincy bench 21-8. I have all the respect in the world for linesmakers but I just dont understand the -5....and thats what worries me!!! Im going with it anyway
