BC starting a frosh or (if Spaz is being cagey) a real crappy late-20something. They don't have any speed on the outside or any gamebreakers, so it should be a plodding day against an ND defense that has played much better even if it hasn't shown up in the stats or scoreline. The thing is that while all the pundits say that ND doesn't have the speed and can't play in space, that's actually what they do really well. . . it's the line play where they get demolished and it started to show against Michigan State and was glaring against Stanford. . . and BC is another team that's tougher than ND. But ND can move people up into the box and at least slow the Eagles down.
On offense, Crist had no answer for Stanford dropping 8 and didn't want to run and they don't have the personnel to run against BC. The sad fact is that ND's toughest offensive players are a RB and a WR. BC rolls out fifth-year lineman year after year after year after year. Crist is a talented QB, but he's going through some growing pains and will probably be confused most of this game as well.
