Lots of things look good for SMU (home, @ night, opposing coach on the road first time out, from a bigger conference), but it really comes down to these guys leading the Red Raiders.

SMU +6-110

A lot of momentum happening for Ole Miss right now, a lot of talent coming back, and going into the least intimidating environment in the south. . . with a lot of travelling Rebels.

I don't think the home field has really helped out the home team in this series very much, and Nashville is not that far from Oxford. I know a long, long, time ago when Ole Miss and Tennessee used to play in Memphis some, it never did much for the Vols.

BBC, just for info purposes the SMU Tech crowd is going to be somewhere around 75% Tech in the stands. That's coming from a guy in the SMU AD. Typically it's close to that anyway but with it being Kingsburys first game there is a lot more noise. I have a picture of the games two years ago and it looked like mostly Tech fans with a few small spots of SMU fans.

Unfortunately no. My son and daughter are both playing in a labor day soccer tourney with their club teams. Over 760 teams in this one so it's pretty important to the kids.

I'll be on the sideline of one of their games watching it on my phone.

Hope all the games are at night. Have fun and keep everyone hydrated.

LOL, we wouldn't be that lucky. 4 games Saturday, 2 and 2. From 9:15 to 6:30. Saturday is 103 here so we're a little worried. We started with making sure they're hydrated Tuesday. Both of them are carrying around big jugs of water at school and have to fill them 3 times. I make smoothies for them at night to take care of cramping.

I have a pop up tent for them on the side and have rigged up a misting system around the top of it so they stay cool on the side. When it's hot like this they also have breaks in the middle of the 1st and 2nd halves to get water and cool off.

Enjoy the soccer, sounds awesome! I coach our 2 oldest with our youngest set to start next year, great sport! GL this weekend.

I really like the Irish under the total, thoughts?

Haven't decided yet.

Notre Dame has been an under machine for three years and in the beginning, it was so easy as they were dominant and conservative on O and everybody was expecting the opposite. However, they have put up a lot of points on overmatched teams (Navy, AFA, Wake, Maryland) on their schedule.

Tommy Heisman has had some moments where he looked very good but then everyone rushed 3 and dropped 8 and he couldn't beat anybody. He made up for it by throwing it up and letting Floyd, Rudolph and Eifert make plays. And while the ND WR group is talented and deep, there's not a superstar yet, so I worry that the offense. . . but he's a senior now. . . getting full reps. . . . and he's got a line for the first time in his career. The under isn't as easy as it looks.

Probably going with an under on Temple, but it's gonna be about 12 points, so there's not a whole lot of room for error. . .especially with a mistake prone QB.
