got troy at 4.5 and mtsu at 28(bought the half)...........troy returns 18 from last years good club and uab lost 9 starters off their excellent defense...uab again a predominantly running offense(pedestrian) and may be more troy fans there than uab...the points are a bonus....troy held nebraska to under 200 yards rushing on over 50 carries...uab`s offense will struggle mightily and their defense is young and inexperienced.....this line reflects last years teams....g.l.

Love your lines, gardenweasel. Forgot it was Sunday due to labor day and forgot that the lines would be out. Hope I don't pay the price

Troy State +3
MTSU +22.5
UTEP +20.5
BC -8.5
Colorado -21.5

The above all fall into the Returning Starter angle and will be played for 2 units. There are two others on that thread that I'm not playing: Michigan State -29 (Over an 80% consensus at another site) and Louisiana-Lafayette( I am deathly afraid of Snyder in a rout)

Purdue +6 3 units

It was nice to be proud of the Irish for a change last Saturday, but there weaknesses were shown. Unlike Maryland, Purdue has seen the tape of the offense. They will see a running game with no flash and little speed. They will see a quarterback who threw the ball well but his only effective throws in the dropback were to his primary receiver. They will see a passing game that was ineffective in throwing anything past a twelve yard route and they will see a team whose only playmaker is so afraid of running the ball in the quarterback position that he won't exploit obvious advantages. This is not an offense that will take alot of scheming to defeat. Purdue had a stout run defense and will shut the Irish down on the ground and if they play man to man and mix in some veiled coverages, they should get turnovers. 6 points is alot for the Irish to cover against a good program at this stage of their dynasty building.

TCU -5.5 3 units

Right Angle said it better than I could but Northwestern is just terrible right now. . This team gave up 50+ points, so . . . they BENCH THE QUARTERBACK???? Down 52-0, they KICK A FIELD GOAL????? They've either quit on Walker then they may be least talented team in Northwestern history(quite an accomplishment). Either way, I want no part of them. They've been shredded for over 550 yards in their last 5 games against the likes of Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Bowling Green and Air Force. Second game of the season and they've already mailed it in.
