12/3: 3-2 +$110
Overall: 18-5 +$2,585
Illinois just needed me to talk some trash to show up...
TODAY
Clemson +2.5 220/200
Exact type of game that Clemson will pull out, if for nothing other than they shouldn't.
Marquette +6.5 165/150
I'm buying Shaka at Marquette---he's much better when he's at a school with limited expectations versus one that eats, sleeps, breathes sports. Seeing a close game, here.
NC State +4 110/100
Pack pulled out the victory over Nebraska (how many chances to the Cornhuskers have to win that game). Seabron has been playing lights out all year---time to take him seriously. Another close game, here...home team edge.
Wake +8.5 165/150
Like VT a lot----but Wake is not nearly as bad as they've been in years past. They keep it closer than experts think.
Colorado +5.5 330/300
Tenn is talented and all, but I'm shocked they are favored by this much. Buffs are solid, and even better in their own building. Will probably sprinkle some on the ML, too.
Cuse +7 165/150
What a family affair Cuse is this year (Coach and 2 sons). Beware on this game---FSU could go nuts and blow Orange out since they haven't had one of those games yet.
Vanderbilt +5.5 220/200
Vandy/SMU over 137 220/200
2 really good guards in this one (Pippen, Kendric Davis). Should be entertaining.
USC pick 'em 165/150
This is where the Pac10 is confusing. USC is by far the better team...and yet this game is a pick 'em. One day I'll wisen up and understand that Wash St is the play here based off a line like this...but until then I'll continue to be stubborn.
Gonzaga -9.5 330/300
Zaga/Bama over 163.5 220/200
You must be crazy if you don't think Zaga isn't licking their chops to play another top team. After losing to Duke, they had an obvious letdown against Tarleton St (who actually looks to be decent) and now get to play a top 20 team that has aspirations of a deep tourny run this year (probably will happen). Bama is good, and Oats can coach, but their style of play could promote a blowout and I see Zaga winning this one going away (see Texas or UCLA games). Zaga might put up 100 in this one.
One more total
Iowa St/Creighton over 137.5 220/200
Like Creighton in this one, but the line seems spot one so I'll err to the total which I think is a little light.
Just realized I'm hoping for a dog-Saturday based off the majority of these (Zaga only fav).
GL All!
