Game time weather as of 1-18-02 (NECN)
Note: When checking weather for this game, Foxboro is outside of Boston in snow belt country. Boston is not conceder part of this snow belt.
3 or more inches of snow with temps in the med 20's.
Oakland comes into N.E. riding a 2-5 ats record since Dec. 2
The Pats being 4-1 ats during this same stretch. If you take away last weeks win over the Jets. Oakland is just 1-5, and of this games, only the Jets finished above .500
So don't let last weeks game, foul you into thinking that Oaklands offence is back on track. They didn't have to travel almost 10,000 miles in 2 weeks.
Oaklands offence didn't do show me much in the 1st three quarters of last weeks game. Scoring only 3 FG an 1 TD. Do you think the 4th quarter would of been different, had the Jets been more rested? I think so!!
So are you going to believe, that this explosive offence of Oaklands (see last weeks 4th qt.). Can come into N.E. on a cold and snowy night, and beat the Pats D. Which is allowing only 16.3 pts at home. Hasn't allowed a TD in the RED ZONE for 19 stright quarters. The last team to score 20 or more was the Rams back on Nov. 18th. And they could only get 24.
I don't think so!!! Look for the Pats defense and special teams to be the differents here in this game.
OAK 3 0 7 0
PAT 3 7 0 7
Final:
Pats 17 Oak 10
