FWIW, I like the Huskers. All the top service guys that have a crappy record are all over Georgia from the pundit sheets!!

To me, a team that gets embarrassed on Nat'l TV, then is a huge dog, was 10 1/2 pts, with some solid senior players, will come out fighting and Pellini, if he don't croak of a heart attack by yelling at an official in this game, wants this game badly!!

If TayMart doesn't cough up the ball, the Huskers will win this one SU, if he does his same 'ol, ole' shit, the Huskers will get beat by 10 or more.

So true. In NU's 4 loses they scored 30, 31, 31, and 38. Sad part is in those 4 loses scoring 30+ they lost by 6, 25, 39 OUCH, and 14. Unreal how unprepared and out classed the front 4 and LBs were this year. Need some JUCOs stat.

Their offense was decent and covered up some warts, but it was also inconsistent. There were certain stretches were the D could have used a sustained drive to help matters and the offense couldn't provide that. Remember 7 of the 31 against UGa came from the defense.

However the D, as well as many other areas including coaching, needs stark improvement. I still can't understand how an o-line that can run block so well is terrible at pass blocking. If Martinez has time he will find one of those talented receivers, even if he is still throwing off his back foot.

2013 I fear will be much the same though, a decent record against a weak/average schedule but unable to win against quality opponents. Pelini's D is only really good when it has absolute studs up front and there are none of those on the horizon.

Absolutely agree with ya Hawkeye!! If not for letting big plays kill them vs Georgia, NU covers the game, blocked punt, two long un-touched td pass and run plays, without a Suh or Crick or Rich Glover up front, that don't help, but the Huskers have always had good LBs, this year, NONE!! DB's can't tackle everyone!! LOL

Bad beat on the game, but glad they played well, up 31-23, you have to grind it, not allow large plays!!

Nebraska teams under Pelini in big games, it seems like a broken record:

Penalties (many stupid, undisciplined type)
Turnovers
looking ill-prepared
blowout losses and losing their overall composure

For a 'defensive' genius, the Husker D has had some of its statistically worst performances under his regime.

He has not been able to recruit any difference makers since Suh left, you would think they could have capitalized on that somehow.
