I have been a huge fan of this site for the past few years and I am hoping some of our resident boxing experts can give me their honest opinions.

Ok.... so about 8 years ago at a local auction I bought a large lot of signed boxing photos and magazines. We are in the process of moving and my wife wants me to either sell them or (god forbid) trash them. They didn't come with any certificates of authenticity, so I am not 100% sure they are all legit, but I assume they are. 2 of the photos Im not sure who is pictures and who it is signed by. You can view all the items here

the two marked "unknown" are the ones I don't know of course.

If anyone could give me an idea of who the two unknowns are signed by and any idea of the value of any of these pieces I would greatly appreciate it. Either PM or reply to me here. Thanks in advance!

The guy on the right is Beau Jack, the other i think is armstrong ?
Can't be, they never fought.

Go to eastside forums, they will tell you for sure.

EDIT: judging by the contradicting shadows on both fighter's shoulders, this might be a photoshop.

Yep, that's Henry Armstrong on the left ... the other "unknown photo" boxer is of course Emile Griffith, as the signature shows (maybe you couldn't read Emile's signature?) and the guy on the magazine cover trying to hold off Ray Mancini is Ernesto Espana.

ok first mystery solved...... thanks for all your help.

now are any of these worth anything without the cert of authenticity? If they arent worth much ill probably stick them in a folder and hide them from the cleaning missus =)

I don't know about the value, but since Graham confirmed it was Armstrong, and since he never fought Beau Jack, ( whose signature is on the picture) then it's clearly a fake ? :look:
