So, the wife & I are heading out to Vegas for St Pats day & are taking our 5 month old with us.

I know, we probably shouldnt be taking a baby to Vegas, but it's a family tradition & we want to give it a try.

We have seen some services which will take care of him for 4-6 hours on St Patties day, but dont know if they are reputable.

Has anyone else done this or have any recommendations?

This is just me, but there ain't a snowballs chance in hell of me letting someone I don't know from Adam watch my 5 month old, especially when I am from out of state.

I am probably the single most paranoid person you will ever meet, but this just seems like a very bad idea.

I wouldn't do it either.

But if you must, Station Casinos have jungle gym areas and stuff you can have them play and watch your kids in a daycare type center.

Not sure about a minimum age and have absolutely no clue what kind of attention they receive, but they do offer it.

Station casinos are locals and off the strip.

Agree 100%. If anything I would not take the baby. leave with family or bring a sitter you can trust with you.

NO WAY LEAVE A 5 MONTH OLD WITH A SERVICE IN VEGAS.

Now if you wait one more day or if the pay is good enough I'll come in a day early and take care of the crumb eater. Or how good looking is the wife, just kidding LOL

Me either no way................my wife and I were young and stupid and we did it once in NYC...............my son slept and slept and slept. He was just plain out of it...............I swear to this day the person we hired drugged him so he would sleep and not bother her...................and she came from a service the Hotel recommended....true story.

Thanks all!

I do appreciate the feedback. Keep it coming.

It's not the end of the world if we split up the festivities for the little guy.

Z2000, my initial reply probably came off a lot harsher than I meant it, sorry about that. Tons of things more important than partying in Vegas, like, well, your 5 month old.

I go to Atlantic City twice a year and one time the wife talked me into taking her and the kids, the kids were never out of reach of at least one of us for a single second and I still regret taking them. They had a great time and loved the beach and pool, but when I think of the kind of people you run into out there and all the things that COULD have happened I just kick myself for doing it.

Veags will always be there

No, pf, I understand completely. There is nothing more precious than little man. I know my #1 job in this world is protecting him.

HEY Z200 I HAVE AN IDEA LET THE KID HANG AROUND WITH FLETCHER OUR BOY FLETCHER IS ALWAYS TALKING LIKE HE IS MR. VEGAS LET HIM DO SOME BABY SITTING FOR YOU.THE WAY THIS DEADBEAT PICKS GAMES THE BABYSITTING MONEY WILL BE HIS BIGGEST SCORE IN A YEAR.

Z2000 PAY FLETCHER 10 BUCKS AN HOUR TO WATCH YOUR KID THE ONLY PROBLEM I CAN SEE IS I DONT KNOW WHO WILLL CRY MORE YOUR SON FOR GETTING STUCK WITH THIS LOSER OR FLETCHER FOR LOSING ANOTHER WAGER.

FLETCH COULD USE THE WORK I JUST HOPE HE IS BETTER AT BABYSITTING THAN HE IS AT GAMBLING.

5 months is very young....but if you must go, take a sitter with you.
Promise her (or maybe him) some time in Vegas, maybe night after St. Pats, as exchange for part of her/his service.

I have a 8month old and couldnt imagine taking her to Vegas. Just my opinion, but I think your asking for trouble there.
