El Dorado probably has the best poker room, according to my buddies... Harrah's has a decent Italian restaurant upstairs (tablecloths in reno?!)...

The "brewpub" in the Silver Legacy is pretty consistent. Not GREAT, but never a bad experience.

Of course a Taco and a Bud-Light for 2 bucks at the Cal-Neva sportsbook gets pretty tempting.

Reno is a dump, but you gotta love it.

Good Luck.

I like the steakhouse that is in the skywalk between the Silver Legacy and the El Dorado--called Sterling's and the brew pub that ImFelhr mentions is great for a quick bite--try their personal sized pizzas--I was there in May for the National Bowling Tourney--hit a royal flush on one of the video poker machines at the bar in the BrewPub----:D

No reason at all to wander the streets of downtown Reno--lots of homeless drunks begging for change--no restraunts or clubs outside of the casinos--
We spent a lot of time in the Cal-Neva sportsbook--place is a dump but there always seemed to be a 3 dollar blackjack table and a 3 dollar craps table going --and they have Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap so you can drink well while playing cheaply--have fun
