It seems to me that Green Bay always seemed to have a worse time in domes and on turf.

The last 10 years (thats all I have at the moment, but why even go that far) the Packers are 14-27 ATS on art turf.

During the last 5 years, the Packers are 5-12 STU on art turf.

I just picked 5/10 years. The stats didnt necessarily change there.

Stats can sometimes lie.
If anyone has any ideas and /or suggestions, please post.

BTW
The Packers were 10-5-2 OVER the last 5 years on art turf.

Packer info.

Packer info.

Over the years the packers have been terrible on turf because of their team being built for Lambeau field. There Defensive front seven in the past is not fast enough to play on the turf. They have tried to change that the last couple of years with trying to pick up quicker linebackers. Also Favre has had his worst games in the dome. The packers seem to turn the ball over because Favre forces more passes because of the lack of speed and the ability of the receivers to get off the line. That was the reasoning for the packers getting rid of Freeman, Schroeder and Bradford. The one thing is that the couple of times Favre has played in New Orleans he has played very well since it is always a homecoming for him. If you look back the teams that have given the packers trouble on the fake stuff is Detroit, Minnesota, and Dallas in the 90's and all those teams had great home records during those years. I would be very cautious on betting Green Bay this week as there offensive may have looked good against the Falcons, but the Falcons had injuries to their linebackers and only had 6 healthy ones for their game on Sunday. I would suggest going over on all Falcon games early in the season. Vick made the packers look silly because of their slow defensive front which made the back seven getting caught looking for Vick to run. The Falcons should have really scored more points if it weren't for dropped passes. The packers corners played well but the linebackers and safeties were God awful. The defensive ends could not contain Vick at all. If you are going to play the game this week I would suggest the over with New Orleans losing another cornerback I look for a high scoring game with Favre throwing an interception or two. The reason I wouldn't play the Saints is the poor record the saints have as a home dog when playing a team 500 or better. Hope this was a little helpful and Good Luck to everyone.

Rog,

Saints actually fit a system I sometimes use to play home teams but I am passing on this game. Main reason is that last week was an embarassment to what I think is a good Packers defense and I will be quite shocked if the Saints pile up points like that. Also with Fred Thomas out there is just not enough depth in that secondary to handle the Packers' passing game in my opinion. Gonna pass because I won't play against my angle on the Saints but I won't play the Saints with Thomas out against such a good passing team. GL.
