Need Help With a Trivia Question

In a trivia contest amogst buddies getting ready for the tournament. I missed this one. I picked Oscar Robertson, but was told he was 2nd, WHO was 1st......Your help would be greatly appreciated...here is the original question

Based on scoring average for the season in which he reached the Final Four, which player had the highest scoring average going into the Final Four?

Think it was an Ohio State and future Celtic. I'm thinking Havlicek but also don't think it was him. If you're not talking 1960, sorry.

This question is for all-time not just 1960. The player that led the regular season with the highest scoring avg that made the final four.
