True - Elliott is out - not sure of the injury but I saw OUT.
They have a Senior who is 12-8 as starter - more mobile than Elliott in the wings - his last name is Rice and should take over. He was benched last year after the first 7 games or so in favor of Elliott. That's all I know at this point.
I was leaning to Cal before - and this doesn't change my mind. the Utes will run a lot and put up their points, but I can't get two pictures out of my head - #1 Cal scoring with ease on Kansas State and #2 Cal scoring 34 points on So. Miss - they are putting up 420 yds of offense and the three defenses they have played are better than average in my opinion. The Utes are playing well too though - Brandon Warfield the stud RB is the key - if he gets another 180 yds on the ground, Cal may be in trouble, but if they hold him to 100-120; it should be Cal's game. Either way it's close and probably a no play for me.
