Just an interesting scenario I am playing around with numbers this morning. What would you do here?



I put in a parlay last night with the following:



$100 to win $772

Bowling green money line

Pistons +6.5

Yankess run line



The first 2 games hit, with the Yankees pending tonight. I am trying to decide if I should bet on the phils to guarantee money.

Here is the scenario what would you do?



If I bet $100 on the phils RL tonight:

Phils win outright or lose by less than 2 runs = even overall

Yanks win by 2 or more = +672 overall



If I bet $200 on the phils RL tonight:

Phils win outright or lose by less than 2 runs = +100 overall

Yanks win by 2 or more = +552 overall



do nothing:

Phils win or lose by less than 2 runs = -100 overall

Yanks win by 2 or more = +772 overall



Tough call? 2 out of 3 scenarios guarantee me a winner. The third scenario guarantees me the most winnings, but chance of a loss.

Always hedge the original bet amount... Even or +675.. whatever it is... dont risk losing the hundred when you already won... take the hundred off the win amount.. dont let anyone tell you different

true, i was thinking guarantee over a gamble myself. nothign wrong with win/win situation... ill have to bet the phils RL to hedge it. thanks for the advice
