Need some advice here

Im selling some furniture and i already got burnt with this set by someone who wanted to buy it. They gave me half and then reneged on the other half so i had to rent a truck and pick it back up. In the add i sent i said i wanted cash up front. Is it possible i could get screwed going this paypal avenue? I find it amazing the person doesn't even want to check it out. It is a great deal but man i'm gonna look at the stuff if it was me. I did send pictures but still i would check it out if it was me. Here is what he wrote:

Thank you for the mail,i am okay with the condition likewise your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others I've seen lately, I'll have it,please kindly send me a paypal payment request to set up purchase or kindly reply back to me with your paypal email address and your name including your phone# and the paypal charges will be on me,i will arrange for pick up after the payment confirmation via paypal.Also more pics will be welcome

It's a scam.
Once they get the goods, they will contact paypal and say you never sent the items they bought and paypal will give them their money back.

i just called pay pal and they said they don't do refunds Once the money is in my account it stays

The word choice and tone of this seems odd. Like it's a cookie cutter response they have developed. Semi-fishy to me.

Sponge, I use Paypal a lot and haven't been scammed before. Like they said, once you have the money it's yours. If anything I would be worried if I was the other party. They're giving you money before they get the furniture.

If you're that worried take pics of everything inlcuding the people and vehicles when they pick up the furniture.

you should pass that along to the thousands of people that it has happened to then. They'll beg to differ.

Go for it then.

But when you get the money in your paypal account, and ship off the furniture and get a message from paypal saying that the payment has been disputed and they are freezing the funds pending an investigation and the other party says he wants his money back because he never got a shipment of furniture.. don't say you weren't warned.

What the hell is paypal giving me this load of shit about it can't be taking out of my account for :shrug: Im gonna call them again. Who the hell buys eight pieces of furniture and only goes by some pictures i posted without looking at it in person? Now i have to be careful i don't scare this person away. Lay, that is what i was thinking about taking pictures. I will already have my brother in the other room with a piece in case they try to roll me. Just don't know if he has the balls to pull the trigger tho. I could get shot with his gun if they take it from him. I will put on my tapout shirt just in case :142smilie

These fuckers are real assholes. I put something on Craigslist last week for $100 and I get a text from a California number to purchase it. I ask why the hell would someone from California want the item. He said I've been looking all over for that item and it came up on a search and will gladly pay the few extra to ship it. I am very skeptical and he says to send him a pic via email of the item. I said ok, I didn't send the pic just to see, I told him that I did send the pic and 3 minutes later he texts, wow I seen the item, please give me your PayPal info immediately and I will find your account. So I text him back and asked him what the scam was, cause I never sent you the fuckkng picture you mother fucker. No reply. I asked him if he was too lazy to get a job or if he felt good about himself trying to scam people.
