What do you have for teams coming off road trips of 5 or more games with 1 day rest?

Not good - I was going to play Atlanta tonight, but a couple factors dissuaded me:

Teams coming off a 5+ game road trip playing as a home favorite are 41-20 SU (+5.7) and 24-35-2 ATS since the 2000 season when they have exactly one day rest and their opponent is unrested. Off a 6+ game road trip (which applies tonight), teams are 40-25 SU (+3.2) and 23-41 ATS when they have more rest than their opponent since the 2000 season.

Larry Drew talked about how the Hawks were completely tapped out in Denver - both mentally and physically. I'm not sure that one days rest, being home, switching time zones, is going to benefit them enough.

However, the Sixers are playing their fourth in five days. Since last season, teams playing their third game in four nights on no rest are 48-81-2 ATS as a dog, excluding the month of November.

They Hawks have struggled recently against the Sixers. Finally, Korver is questionable, and he is one of the most important players for this team (he leads the team in wins produced this season, if you like that metric for measuring players).

Good stuff HH!!

Also Golden St was just off a 5 game road trip and covered vs Toronto on Monday, it was a rare occasion, as a 6 or 6 1/2 pt fav. Only reason I took GS was that Rudy Gay was out and Toronto was pooped out from last 4 previous games they lost.

I used to use Pointwise basketball tip sheet which had all the angles, trends for 1-3 days on the road, 2 games in 3 nights, etc., almost every possible angle to use, I got tired of buying the paper and got lazy keeping my stats up night to night, it was pretty gruling to be honest, also there was a big black book out that had stats/trends for the past 25 years that Mark Lawrence put out and that book was good for about 50/50 info which didn't make me any money with hoops, hoops ain't my game anyways, I just play it to keep my mind sharp.

Trends can help, but having power numbers to help, gives some good angles and hopefully win over 55% or more of the spreads in order to make any money.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks HH. I knew it wasn't a good record.

I kinda like the 6ers even though its a B2B.

Need to wait for situation like that when they play a fresh team thats the better team and pound it.
