Scoresandodds lists Neitzel as doubtful due to the flu, do any Mich. St. fans know any more details regarding if/ how much he'll play?

Any help much appreciated. Without Neitzel, obviously I like Mich. St. less.

From gospartans.net

Just hours before No.10 Michigan State tips off against No.1 UCLA in the finals of the CBE Classic, Tom Izzo revealed that his All-American guard Drew Neitzel will miss tonight's game against the Bruins due to illness.

Unfricking believable. This is the sole reason, essentially, that I backed the Spartans tonight. A guy who could actually handle the guard pressure of the Bruins.

What's the line doing now? Probably too late to the party to buy it back, I'm guessing.

sportsbook.com hass it at 5.5.....been climbing steadily throughout the day to 5.....settled there for a long time, but checked after hearing the Neitzel news......and a hook had been added to the line.....both teams have stars out, it'll be interesting to see how each respond.

bruins looked fine last night w/o collison, that frosh big guy is amazing. lookin for him to put up another big DD tonight. the line has sat 4.5-5.0 all day from what i've seen. tip in 7m... nothing's changed.

What the hell. I guess Izzo was going for some misinformation? I wish I had stayed away from this game, originally was going to go Michigan St. big but went UCLA small. Still early, but too many question marks.

I suck.

UCLA off early as we all see, hopefully that game against MIZZU takes it toll on Mich St tonight in the second half. I myself saw this thread that Larry Bird wasnt playing and jumped on UCLA. But I absolutely HATE going against Izzo, and add Larry Bird to his side and this combo has fawked up more backdoors then a night prowler. Hopefully UCLA can bang 'eminside early then extend the floor later in the game but WE must win the battle of the boards and/or points in the paint. CHIT CHIT CHIT. Go bruins

This game is over for Bruins backers. I'm wishing that I didn't play these guys as they really suck other than Love. Shipp is okay, but missing Collison makes this team very ordinary and overrated @ #1.

Game is not even close to over, guess nobody saw MSU blow the lead last night to a average to good Miizzu team.

May be a difference in the pressure Mizzu put on them UCLA is giving open looks all night long, swing the ball and find a lay-up or dunk, gonna be a tough battle down the stretch but Mich St although they blew the lead, they didnt lose the game.......they play well enough and disciplined enough to get good looks and convert unlike our UCLA who is just pulling up. They really need to get within a bucket or take the lead to really make Mich St sweat some and catch flashbacks....
