Nevada goes to Hawaii tonight. Hawaii beat Georgia by 10 and then beat Fresno st by 10, so why am I picking Nevada, who is not even as good as Georgia or Fresno?? I see Hawaii either taking Nevada for granted or being complacent in this game because they are coming off those two big wins. Hawaii doesn't see Nevada as a big threat compared to Georgia and fresno, and this is why it might come back to bite them on the azz tonight. Hawaii should win, but I expect Nevada to give them some trouble.
Nevada comes in with a pretty balanced team with not as much at stake because it's more pressure to win at home in a division rather than on the road. Last time people said Portland +15 pick was a lucky winner because Hawaii took a double digit lead early in the game and should have blown them out, but if you know the tendencies of hawaii, they do have the talent to get ahead by double digits with their defense and sharp shooters from the outside, however, once they get a double digit lead, they then start to play conservatively(playing to hold the lead rather than extend it), and that's when the other team almost always comes back. I wouldn't be surprised if this game was close, but if somehow Nevada is down by double digits late in the game, I look for them to make a run to get it within single digits with Hawaii's conservative play and also Hawaii's poor free throw shooting.
