Worked with friend in this field & bingo fan bearings are shot and soon it will freeze up !

cost to repair is high the fan motor has to be replaced

in other words look around for deals on same size unit and go for better brand frigidaire aint what it used to be only 7 yrs old and that happens !

I have an Airtemp dowstairs older than that 20,000 BTU works like new after coolling lower level down i lower it to low cool with a fan between rooms so the unit dosent work as hard !

one other thing measure sq ft of bedroom and get a unit to fit that footage in BTU size

Scrap,

I'm betting that this isn't a window unit he is speaking of. This is probably a $7,000 unit or more. (Central air).

Yes. 3 Ton central air

Looks like comments on-line say its easier to replace fan motor than try to replace bearings

wow ok thought i was a single unit for that master bedroom !

So replacing the fan is far cheaper than buying a new one!

Don't really know what to say without actually hearing it but if your outdoor unit is frozen I'd check your duct air filter. It's likely clogged and would make the outdoor unit freeze up.
