I've been cruising around the board for a few days now, and this looks like a lot of fun. I have yet to find the dummies guide to gambling, though. If there is one, can you point me in the right direction?

Here's one of the main things that is confusing me:

+3.7% LAST POST =7.2% LAST WEEK +55.9% THUS FAR- MINNY +8.5 6%,GSW +4 4%,UTAH -5 3% gl (THUNDERs post for Monday night hoops)

What does all that mean? I'm assuming it has to do with the posters record and the amount of your budget you should put on each game, but you know what momma said about "assume", and I'd hate to think a - meant a + or visa versa and lose money I should have won. :D

Thunder uses a system where you bet games as a % of your bankroll.

Instead of someone saying 3 units on Indy. Well a unit might be $25 to someone and $500 to someone else.

If you have $1,000 bankroll and you are following Thunder, you would bet 4% of $1,000 on a 4% play.

Hope that helps...

ok, that gets me started. You just explained the green parts. What about the blue?

+3.7% LAST POST =7.2% LAST WEEK +55.9% THUS FAR- MINNY +8.5 6%,GSW +4 4%,UTAH -5 3% gl

Also - does your bankroll reset after every week, or day, or season? What do you do if you start with 1000 and win 200? 4% was $40, is it now $48?

Thanks :)

Just go into one of his threads and ask him. He is very helpful. I would hate to steer you wrong.
