I play softball on Weds-my only real fun during the week-in a very compettive league.
I was 16 for 18 coming in. My 1st AB-HR. My 2nd AB-HR. 3rd AB-int walk. Now I come up in the bottom of the last inning after my team rallies for 5 in the frame. I have bases juiced 2 outs. All I need is a freakin single. I LINE one down the 3rd base line-hardest ball I have ever hit. The ump has NO IDEA and decides to call it FOUL-which was the wrong call. Now I am pissed-I take 3 straight balls as the pitcher is now scared. As ball 4 is nearing me-I have this great idea to be a hero and go to right field and I line out to 2nd base-the pitch almost hit the plate. We lose in extras.
Guess sometimes when the pressure is on we all react differently.
