Chargers 7?? With both the Broncos and the Chiefs at 8?? What happened to the Chargers? The Chiefs are the odds-on favorite to win that division? Hmmm...did I miss something?

Also like Overs for both New England and Buffalo, even though they are both in the same tough division.

Cheers IE, got off my lazy ass y'day and checked Pinnacle and found them there.... there was a few I liked but the majority of them had a lot of chalk on the price, so may shop around a bit more as more books post 'em...

NE O 10.5 looks really decent and will probably be my first play. 11-5 (or better) looks very attainable, even with new D coordinator. Also maybe looking at a PITT O.

Well....not the easiest schedule for SD, but not the hardest.

Actually, after further review I think KC Under 9 may be a stronger bet.

The AFC West this year:
Each team plays each division rival twice, of course. KC ~could~ sweep Oakland, and split against Den and SD to go 4-2...but it would be surprising if they did in my opinion. I give them 3-3 in these games.

Of the remaining 10 games - in 8 of those games, they face the same opponents as everyone else in their division.

Common opponents everyone in the division plays:
Buff - Mia - NE - NYJ - Dal - NYG - Phil - Wash

Giants, Wash and Mia are all soft games. Buf, NYJ and Dal are borderline games. NE and Phil are tough. I don't see KC beating either of those last two...might win one of Buf/NYJ/Dal. Probably cough up one of NYG/Wash/Mia. That puts them at 3-5 against this group of teams, 6-8 overall. Give them the benefit of the doubt and say they can actually split these 8 games though, making them 7-7. Now they have to sweep their bonus conference games for the bet to push....

Two extra conference games the teams get:
SD - vs Pitt and @ Indy (ok, admittedly, that is tough)
KC - vs Cinci and @ Hou (I wouldn't be surprised to see KC lose both)
Den - vs Balt and @ Jax (no cakewalk either)
Oak - vs Clev and @ Tenn (pretty soft)

What has KC done to improve themselves this off-season, aside from signing Patrick Surtain? That defence was BAD last year... one or two new guys isn't going to fix it. To lose this bet KC's got to go 10-6 on the year. Hard to picture.

Of course it's hard to know what each team brings to the table, and predict games this early before the season even starts. I really have to give this some serious consideration and read up on what's changed...
