Hello folks.

Things have been quiet on the rugby front, as we are waiting for the continuation of the Heineken Cup which returns next weekend. I have been looking at the sides form closely ahead of next weeks plays.

However, there are some matches tonight, which can get us in the mood for next weekend, where normal postings will restart, all the way through to the summer. The plays tonight come in the Zurich Premiership, which is the English rugby domestic rugby competition.

Leeds (-4) vs Bath

Sale (-15) vs Newcastle

Both are available at Bet365. I am playing two 1 point singles, and a 1 point double. Please note that these plays (win or lose) will not count towards my YTD posted on this site, as they are bets only to get us in the mood for next week. However, be aware that as much thought and study has gone into these as ever.

Damn it!!! I didn't see your post in time to get the bets in. I was all excited to put my first rugby wager in. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until next weekend. I see that your first bet is already a winner. Congratulations.

Crooky - I'm looking forward to riding along with you on some rugby action this year. I set up an account at bet365 just to play rugby. Here's to you keeping up the winning streak. I'll be looking for your posts.

Sale 38-3 Newcastle

Leeds 20-7 Bath

A nice warm up for next week returning $649 of profit for the night. This will come in use for next weeks matches. ;)

Very easy winners on both parts. May well post some more New Year bonuses tomorrow, depending on what lines I see.

Dont worry Cameron, there is a full year of rugby ahead climaxing with the Rugby World Cup towards the end of the year, so there will be plenty more time to make your plays. It is good to see you aboard.

Also thanks for the kind comments from the Mountie. You Canadians should enjoy rugby union more, because you have some very fine players hailing from your country. :canada1

Happy New Year to you Derek as well!

If you care to check back through my previous 35 rugby bets, you will find out that I stake my bets to ?100 per unit. I convert my profits to $$$ for the sake of the American users, using a live online currency converter.

Dont rush in with rash statements until you have done your homework first. :moon:

Incidentally, I doubt whether this is of any use to readers of these rugby threads, but I found another two winners today in Neath (-4) and Saracens (+15) with StanJames.

I was stuck in work all day so was unable to post. Ok you say, this is of no use to me. However, I can say I am taking a 4-0 weekend into the Heineken Cup next week, and will be working very hard all week in analysing the games.

I am sure Hoss will return next week to aid me, so heres to a profitable weekend starting next Friday evening. :toast:

England, u.k.
Sorry crooky didnt realise you converted.

However as I live in the UK and if I played 1 unit as ?100 I am more than likely to play $100 for 1 unit if I live in the States, not $148 as that is the equivalent to ?100.

Just a thought.

Yes BB you are right, but as you know I live in the UK and not the States. Throughout,I have always listed my plays to ?100 per unit, and converted only for the North Americans who are reading.

Look forward to reading your Heineken views with me next week.

Good Luck mate :)
