Michigan pk
Florida's OL has struggled all year and Michigan's defense does a good job getting to the QB with over 3 sacks per game. Turnovers could be keys in this game. Wolverines should put good pressure on Grossman and cause some turnovers as he has 17 INTs and numerous fumbles while Navarre has taken good care of the ball with just 7 INTs on the year. Navarre does a good job spreading the ball around. He has some good WRs, an excellent TE in Joppru, and Askew is good out of the backfield. Big advantage at punter could also be key for Michigan. Florida's backup QB took over a few games into the season and has had his problems frequently avg. in the low 30's. Michigan should control the field position and I think they will win a low scoring game.
Auburn +7
Think Auburn has the better defense in this game. Auburn's defense improved a lot at the end of the season and they have some very fast LBs that I think can contain Johnson somewhat. I like what Tuberville has done with their offense. Brown is a good runner and he uses Campbell on a lot of rollouts and play actions which opens up big plays for the TEs over the middle. Penn St. has had some problems against good running teams giving up 42 to Iowa, 31 to Wisconsin, and 27 to Michigan. They were able to contain the Buckeyes but they were without Clarett for the most part in that game. PSU hasn't played a competitive game for quite some time blowing out the likes of Indiana and Michigan St. in their final games. Both teams have played a lot of close games against their quality opponents. Auburn lost by 7 at USC, lost in OT at Florida, and lost by 3 against Georgia. Since Campbell took over full time at QB, Auburn is 4-1 with the loss to Georgia, a game they controlled for the most part before being beat on a 4th and 15 TD pass late in the game. Think this will be a close game which Auburn has a good chance of winning outright. Tuberville will have some trick plays which could be the difference. Probably my top play of the day as public is all over PSU.
LSU/Texas under 46 and small play on Texas -10.5
Public is on the over and line has dropped about a point. Think LSU will have trouble scoring against a terrific Texas defense. Texas running game has struggled and Simms is still a little inconsistent completing passes at times. Both teams take pretty good care of the ball so I don't think there will be many turnovers or big plays. Think the score will be in the area of 27-10.
Washington St. +6 and ML +200
Think this is the best passing offense OU has faced and their secondary looked susceptible against OSU. WSU has some very big and athletic WRs and Gesser throws a good deep ball. I don't have much confidence in Hybl and the Cougars have some excellent CBs and a good pass rush. If they can slow down Griffin they should get the win.
Florida St. +8
Don't like taking a team with an inexperienced QB but think the public is overreacting to Rix being out. He was a pretty lousy QB to begin with and Walker can't be much worse. As long as he doesn't turn the ball over they should be fine. FSU still has some good RBs and some great WRs if Walker can get the ball near them. FSU has a solid defense and special teams which I think will keep them in the game.
