he may play but the first few times he jams it on a helmet or gets it hit the wrong way , he will be headed to the sidelines.

The bigger question is who is the back up , and what are their qualificications to lead the team ?

How many more points than the +6 will Tenn get now ?

My wife (UT grad) has always said he should concentrate on modeling because his football career isn't going anywhere.

Now it appears that football may even hurt his modeling career. Taking him right out of those Isotoner magazine ads. Marino is safe for now.

Line is still at Tenn +6 (ev $)

Crompton is the back-up and a very capable replacement.... Crompton He almost led the Vols to a win over LSU last year.... That being said, I wouldn't touch this game with your money. I'll simply pass and root for my Vols. ;)

what are your vols going to have for a running gm ? I see they lose top 3 receivers, top 2 OL, new starters @ DT's, and lose 3 db's. I have to play this gm in a contest, any thoughts ?

Did Longshore or Ayoob start for Cal last year at Tenn? Ayoob could have been the worst DI quarterback in existance last year.

Tennesse will have a good running game.... They usually do! After playing musical running backs throughout last year, Tennessee might have a star to carry the offense in LaMarcus Coker; however, Coker is suspended for the Cal game. Montario Hardesty and one of the stars of spring ball, Arian Foster will be carrying the rock in this game. They will turn some heads.

As for the O-Line, the key player will be Sophomore OT Chris Scott. Senior Eric Young will find a starting spot at one of the tackle spots, with a gaping hole still to be filled at the other. The 325-pound Scott has the size, and he has a year of tutelage under his belt after backing up Arron Sears. Now he?ll likely have to step in at left tackle and replace the All-American, while the rest of the line tries to improve after two off years.

Defensive line - We need some guys to step up here in the run defense. Long known for being a brick wall against the run, the Vols got steamrolled by Arkansas, Penn State and LSU and got pushed around way too often, allowing 100 yards or more in ten games, including each of the last six. Part of the reason was injuries, like the loss of top tackle Justin Harrell, and part of the reason was a lack of consistent pass rush to bring down the net numbers. Job one will be to focus on being better up the middle, which might be a problem without tackles Turk McBride and Matt McGlothlin. Some semblance of a pass rush has to be generated from the outside with Xavier Mitchell, Antonio Reynolds and Robert Ayers all looking the part, but needing to be more productive.

I also had to play it in an office pool and took Tennessee, but I had the game scored Cal 31 - TN 27.

Vols No. 1 RB LaMarcus Coker is out vs. Cal but they still have some very capable RB's. Arian Foster was last years starter for 9 games
