My Costa Rica Trip By Fabian Sultan:
Well, my trip began flying from Miami to Costa Rica and that went pretty well. When I landed in Costa Rica I was greeted by MVP Sportsbook representatives and driven in a limousine to San Jose Marriot. I thought the way I was received was extremely first class but I was yet to be amazed by the treatment I received by the whole staff. After I got settled in my room and had time to relax I got ready for the evening activities.
We started out with a happy hour with drinks and conversation with all the invited guest, which consisted of handicappers and written and online publications. I have to admit I was pretty nervous really not knowing anyone and being alone in a foreign country. After I got to meet some people and was able to talk to them I felt more and more comfortable and pretty happy I went to the golf tournament. After we had drinks we all sat down and had a pretty nice dinner and all of us were just waiting to see what was planned next. Well, after dinner we all had the pleasure to be introduced to the owner of MVP Dalton Wagner and he basically told all of us what he had planned for us for the evening.
After dinner we went to downtown Costa Rica where the all the events were just about to get started. We went to the nicest casino where they rented out the top floor of the casino for all of us to play and really enjoy ourselves and relax. Let me just tell you something I have never in my entire life was treated the way MVP and its entire staff treated me and all of the other guest. I felt like I was the president of the United States from the treatment they spent on us to luxurious accommodations to the security guards and so on. I would have to say all of us had a great time that evening from gambling to drinking and just having a great time partying with everyone.
The next day we started bright and early from a tour of the MVP offices and company and a beautiful breakfast spread. After that by mid day we started on out trip to Los Suenos a resort on the other side of Costa Rica a beautiful and plush resort. On our trip along the way we were able to view the beautiful mountains and valleys along the way and we stopped in the middle for lunch in the middle of no where on top of a mountain for a very nice lunch. After lunch we were on our way to the resort but we had one more stop to see some man eating crocodiles and I must say that was a sight amongst its self. After the crocodile adventure we arrived at the resort and checked in and let me tell you that had to be one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever been to in my entire life. We went to our rooms and in our rooms we had a beautiful duffle bag and gifts waiting for us which again was just first class. After we got settled and took showers we went downstairs for an amazing dinner where we had an award ceremony and able to hear a little bit about what MVP has planned for the future. The dinner was amazing as usual and afterwards we went to the hotel casino to relax and have a little action. We had to keep it a pretty light evening because we had to get up early the next day for the golf tournament.
Well, we got up early to have another amazing breakfast and then we were on our way to play in the golf tournament. Well, we were all split up in to groups of three for a scramble tournament which the lowest score will win. Let me just say it was pretty hard to concentrate with the beautiful models they had riding in our carts all day. We started pretty early in the morning and let me just say it was extremely hot and but like I said earlier it was hard to notice with all the distractions we had from the pretty girls to the beautiful scenery around us. I had a great time golfing with my group and I probably never laughed so hard from all the horrible shots I hit on the golf course. After the tournament we all had lunch and all the prizez were awarded for various awards from the longest drive to the winning group of the tournament. After we had lunch we had the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the pool area and just relax from the hot day till we went out for dinner and another night of extreme fun. We went to a beach type restaurant for dinner which was extremely nice and they had great food. And after dinner went to town to a local bar to have drinks and mingle with every one. I had a great time with some of the guys drinking and just exchanging war stories about the handicapping business. A couple of us were able to hook up with some local girls there and really have a nice time getting to know them and hear about Costa Rica.
The next morning we had another great breakfast and we were off for a really great seminar. At the seminar we heard some real great ways to build up our business and we were able to express some of our ideas also. Dalton was very supportive of all of us he brought to Costa Rica and he gave us some realy good business pointers. All and all the seminar was great and I got a lot of it for me to build up my business. After the seminar we headed back to San Jose to finish up our day and get ready to relax a little before we went out for farewell dinner. After we checked in to the hotel we had time to relax and shower and get ready for dinner. We went to a famous coffee establishment for dinner and a tour. The tour was really nice and the dinner was great also just like the entire trip.
After dinner some people went out back on the town and some of us had to make it an early evening because some of us had early flights the next day to get back home. I will just say this in closing MVP and their whole staff was amazing hosts from beginning to the end no stone was left unturned. They were first class all the way from the accommodations to the events and to the meals. I had a great time and I am sure everyone else did and I think this will energize everyone to push real hard to support MVP and bring business both ways.
