Belly of the Beast
Preseason Record: 0-2 ?4.40 units

Kudos to 4bubba, IE and all the contributors to the matchup forum for getting a bunch of great info on this game.

Anybody who?s wagered on the Giants knows how frustrating it can be to back the Giants or an over in their games. They play belly, belly, incomplete, punt when ahead and belly, flat, incomplete, punt when behind. It?s been moderately effective for them because they rely on their defense to perform and for somebody to make a play in the fourth quarter.

The Texans will have to set up an offense that will be new for everybody on their team. They will be vanilla not so much out of choice but out of necessity. The gentlemen?s agreement to not try and trick anybody so both coaches can evaluate talent means it is likely that any ball movement will be through long drives and with long drives, the offense has more opportunities to make mistakes.

While it?s obvious that points will be at a premium, the under is set at 29, which is lower than any total that I can remember. Any special teams blunder or defensive touchdown will cause the under to be threatened. I don?t like teasers , BUT, I can?t think of a game when adding on points is of this much value. By taking the Titans +10 and +36 at ?130 you take the under through the critical numbers of 30,31,33,34 which will all come into play in a multiple field goal type of game as this should be. And you get a full touchdown and a field goal against a team that doesn't like to win by that much in the regular season, let alone preseason.

Teaser (Titans +10 Under 36) risking 2.6 units to win 2.0
