I got this line where 17 points by the Skins would ensure at least a split so I played it. Good luck.
Washington +9 over DENVER 330/300 (GC)
Washington vs. DENVER over 42 330/300 (GC)
Washington +9 / over 42 parlay 100/280 (GC)
Looking at it from the perspective of a hedge play, Washington needs 17 points to ensure at least a split at this line. Even not looking at it from that perspective, both the side and total here are strong. Schottenheimer started slowly but has improved nearly every week. His offense is now an efficient unti specializing in the rush and short passing, two areas where Denver is struggling on defense. Banks will never be the most accurate quarterback, but with that line giving him time, he has been able to put up very good point totals the last few weeks before the bye. They scored 17, 35 and 27 in their three game winning streak.
I am realistic enough to know that Denver will put up points this week. They have averaged about four touchdowns per game in three games against average-to-good defenses in New England, Oakland and San Diego. Washington does have better cover corners than those teams at least, so they should be able to play some press coverage and keep the game tight.
Everything here points to a back and forth game with both offenses playing well. Because of that, I even added a small parlay to the side and total.
