why do receivers ran a pass route from 4 to 9 yards short of the line to gain. This used to be a no no for receivers. I know this has happened to ne over 209 times just thisyear, does not make sense.
Jacksonville has done it tonight, but the worse was no goes into the end zone right before hakk abd no times and clock running uner 10 seconds in hakf. What the fuck are these guys thinking, or do they just have no clue

The Jacksonville play was ALL on Lawrence and not the receiver. You CANNOT make that pass short of the end zone.

while receivers sometimes screw up and run a pattern a little short, most of the time they are running exactly what the play call says they should run. not every single play has every receiver run past the sticks. part of that is on the OC to call better plays. and often the qb is forced to throw to someone other than the primary receiver. there are situations where it's ok to throw to a checkdown and hope he can make the first down. punting is ok. other times, the qb absolutely needs to force a throw past the sticks.
