Where it is real F ing COLD
Vikings over 8.5 and you can get 9 +125 through Draft Kings sports book.

Here comes the homer pick but I see it no other way, kind of fitting I would call them a dumb organization in one thread and then in this thread I will say their 2021 off season went about as well as it possibly could for them. They did lose Reilly Reiff who had a solid year at left tackle and TE Kyle Rudolph but that was about it. They are adding a ton of talent on defense and it will look much different than what they ended up with last season.

Lets start off with the defensive front seven. Last year they were a sieve, remember last Christmas when Kamara rushed for 6 TDs? Vikes were starting journeyman and 2020 mid round draft picks in the final 5 weeks or so. Insert Michael Pierce a run stuffing NG who opted out last season due to covid. Vikes also signed DTs Dalvin Tomlinson and Sheldon Richardson, good luck running on that? Vikes were also horrible with the pass rush and they get Pro Bowl Danielle Hunter back which is a huge boost and he also plays the run very well. DJ Wonnum showed promise at DE last season in his Rookie year and they will rotate out a slew of defensive ends with him and Steven Weatherly but reports around here is that Everson Griffin wants to come back in the worse way and may come back at minimum but at any rate with or without him the pass rush should be much more consistent.
Vikes were also without OLB Anthony Barr for 14 weeks and MLB Eric Kendricks for the final 5 weeks of the season, having these two back are immediate upgrades who can play the run and defend the pass well..

Let's move onto the secondary. Last season they were starting two rookies without preseason and were thrown into the fire to cover guys like Davante Adams and Julio Jones, this season those guys have a year of experience and 3rd round pick Cameron Dantzler was rated a top 5 corner by PFF in final 6 weeks of the season and he should be the Vikes #1 corner which leads us to free agent signing of Patrick Peterson, many have said he has lost a step but he will most likely be on the #2 receiver instead of the 1, first round pick Jeff Gladney showed promise but maybe going through some legal troubles so his status is in question. Vikes did have a sneaky acquisition in reacquiring slot corner McKenzie Alexander who is a slot specialist and knows the VIkings system.

On offensive side of the ball the Vikes will be stable, Cousins gets a lot of grief but he is fine if they can run the ball and play defense. He will have 2 stud WRs, stud RB and solid TE group, once again the main issue will be the offensive line, they simply struggle against pass rush especially on obvious third down situations and they will be starting 2 rookies on the line at left tackle and right guard but really will it be any worse than last season?

Special teams wise they need to find a consistent kicker, kicking absolutely killed them in a couple games last season, well how about many seasons.

Strength of Schedule is difficult on paper but I have the Vikes winning 11 games, they won 7 last season and they were a horrible team. Too many upgrades on defense will make them very difficult to run on and their pass rush will be greatly improved. Also GM Spielman and HC Zimmer are fighting for their jobs and the additions were a must and Zim has too much pride in defense.

Vikes OVER 8.5 / 9
