Well what a week it was fellas. The Cowboys gave me some scare early on but things went along as expected after.

Washington and Cincy knocked off a good chunk in my pool. We are now down to 50% and the action is just about to heat up! A couple more dogs biting and it will get real interesting.

I know there were a few here from last week's thread who picked the 'Skins. Sorry to see you guys bowing out but us survivors just have to soldier on...

For Week 7 I'm looking at the following teams (If you don't see mentioning an obvious like the Colts, it's because I have used them so feel free to chime in with your choices)

Jacksonville against Houston: Another obvious choice this week besides the Colts. Houston hasn't shown me anything this season to really take them seriously. Jags got some rest and should be coming out in good shape, although I don't know about Byron and the boys on the road.

Denver against Cleveland: I am not too keen on taking Jake on the road but similar to Houston, Cleveland hasn't really shown much and with that Broncos defense at work, it's hard to see Charlie *Interception machine* Frye and Co. doing much.

Seattle against Minnesota: Another obvious choice, I reckon. I still haven't been able to get a good grip on the Vikes. They always seem to play up and down to their levels of competitions and the line at -6.5 right now does smell something fishy. I would certainly like to see Shaun playing but without him, i still see a Seahawks win, although it might be close.

If you have strong leans to any teams, let's hear it!

Good luck to all as always and Surviving we shall!

I don't know about the Colts this week against the Skins. The Colts run defense is pathetic and if Portis can get going, then the Skins have a great chance to win the game.

Jax is your best bet out of the teams that you listed.

Of the three listed, I like JAX the best, but DEN isn't far behind. The one thing I don't like doing in Suicide Pools is picking teams on the road....that said, playing at HOU or CLE isn't going to make much of a difference. I'd stay away from SEA/MIN.

Good luck.

Does anyone think the New York Jets can win S/U this Sunday ?

That's right the New York Jets fellas, can't believe i would be talking about them now but they are pretty solid at home and Detroit is coming into a tough place.

The only thing that scare me is the public is pretty much all over the Jets and there's no reason why they should let the Dolphins get back into the game last week, but they did. Could be a dogfight here.

This is perhaps the trickiest week so far man, once we got past this weekend, the rest should be pretty smooth.

Good luck buds

Back to back easy weeks for me, with Pittsburgh this past weekend......I wish they could all be like that, but I know thats not the case.......I was the only one in my pool with Pitt this weekend and I'm glad I used them up......

Everybody was on the Broncos and Cowboys, 2 teams I havent touched yet........and wash knocked a few out......still waiting for the big upset this year

I don't have jax to choose from and I know it looks like a slam dunk.......but most people have used indy up, so the majority of pool players will be riding the jaguars this weekend...could this be the week?:scared

My leans this week......

cincy at home vs carolina
jets at home vs the lions(yes i said the jets)
seattle at home vs the vikings
Indy at home vs the redskins

sorry i didnt see your post about the jets....I got to typing then got caught up here at work with something....

but yes the Jets are a serious consideration for me this weekend....they are playing decent ball facing the Lions outdoors, but more importantly if I could get by using the Jets this weekend, I will be really set up nicely, with every NFC team yet to use except the Cards and the big 5 left in the AFC, Indy, NE, Den, SD and Cincy

Whatup fellas, sorry for those on the Redskins.......That was pathetic.

Dallas worked out for me as planned and been eying some teams for this week since a couple weeks ago.

Some Value:

Patriots: Pats 7-2 off a bye week last nine, Bills 1-10 SU last 11 vs. Pats.

Indy: 7-2 past nine after bye, Washington cannot get a passing game going.

Jax: First of back to back road games after bye, should not be looking ahead. Need Hou win with Philly on deck.

I really favor Indy in this spot, but may hold on to them yet another week. Just always seems nice having them in your pocket if you can get around it.

Right now my favorite play is New England. Buffalo playing mediocre ball, rushing game struggled against Buffalo, Losman playing more like "Lousyman" and defense giving up big yards on the ground. New England coming fresh off a bye, always play focused on the road, ground game should produce here with Maroney and Dillon and I look for Brady to have a solid game as offense has been geling more and more each week. With Minny and Indy on deck the next two weeks Belichick will have his team prepared and focused here for a road win they should come away with. Once again don't think it will be a walk in the park as I thought the same for Dallas last week, but believe it will be a solid 4qtrs. of mistake free football played and won by the better team.

If I hold onto Indy yet another week and get the win with NE, looking strongly at using Indy in 3 weeks at home Vs. Buffalo. It all depends on where the league is standing if I'm still in it and whether it will be worth holding onto them any longer than that.

As far as Jax goes, they look rather solid, but as posted here a few threads back, everyone is going to be on them and I'm still waiting for that one big upset. This would be it as they are the biggest favorite on the board without any others unlike previous weeks. If they loose could knock out 50% or so. I feel safer myself anyways utilizing them at home, and they have both Houston and Tennessee at home in the next few weeks. Good time to possibly also have Jax in my pocket when a large chunk of players will use them this week.

Just my thoughts thus far, will check back and post later when I make my final decision. Once again, I look forward to this thread every week, it helps alot when we work together.

Guys little heads up. You do not want to save Indy for the last week or any obvious powerhouses. Don't forget most teams that have clinched home field advantage coast in there last couple of games and often lose outright.

I was lucky enough to survive all 3 of my picks (pitt, dallas, Chi -barely). We are down to 360 (out of 800)

I think this week will be the hardest week all season. Many people have used up Indy and NE, so I think most people will be on Jax

I think the best pick is INDY... wash is not good and indy just signed McFarlend to help with the run. Indy has road games at Denver and NE, so this is a must win for them (as much as a 5-0 team needs a 'must win').

Some leaners I am looking at are

Jets - lions are not a good team and Jets have won the games they were supposed to, and were competative in their loses (except j-ville). the only thing that scares me how they almost let miami backdoor them

I think Cincy is in a really good spot here, they are coming off a loss, plus they lost their last home game. Carolina is coming off a tough road win, so I could see a letdown. I think Cincy has better spots down the road

Miami may be a decent option. GB is not good and they are having running back trouble. Miami will be glad to be home, after playing fairly well on the road for 2 weeks

I went with seattle guys....I'm hoping this is a good spot to use them, hopefully the late game heroics last week will carry over.

Good spot to use the Jets here as you gotta try and use some of the weaker teams when they are in good situations and hope for the best.

I am rooting against Jacksonville cause I think everyone will be on them this week and I think Houston has a legit shot at an upset.

Same here fellas

I flamed out with the Seahawks. Would it be different if Hasselbeck didn't get injured ? Possibly but that's why they play the game!

It's been quite a ride fellas. This year the dogs have been barking and biting hard and I don't expect the pools to last much longer. After today, there is about 10 people left in my pool from an original 80.

Good luck to all survivors. I'll be cheering for you guys from the sidelines!

I really enjoyed all the discussions and tidbits since the start of the season. Will be doing it all over again next year, that you can count on me!

Cheers.

Our pool started with 64 remaining this week (started with 119). Of the 64, there were 45 eliminated. Luckily I am one of the 19 left as I had the Jets this week.
