Giants starting a lot of new faces on the offensive line. Will be interesting to see if they can open holes for Barber and Dayne. If not then Collins has to put it up. The Giants just lost Pochman for the season. He was their starting placekicker and Field Goal kicker. Matt Bryant will assume these duties. He was signed this past Tuesday.

49er's were 2nd in the league in rushing yards per game with 140 yards per game. Garcia has developed into a very fine quarterback, but more importantly a field leader.

The 49er's last year were 12-4 and the Giants were a dissapointing 7-9 last year after challanging for the Super Bowl the year before. These teams are going in different directions.

Don't be suprised if this game is over by halftime. SF has the ability to put up points fast. New York's offense seems to have geared their themselves in the direction of "3 yards and a cloud of dust". Too much inexperience on the Giants offensive line to consistently open holes for the Giants running backs this early in the season.

My last point is turnover ratio. Last year the 49er's were 1st in the league and the Giants were 18th. This stat shows that
the 49er's seem to find a way to create oppertunities.
