NFL Week 6 Picks

Best Pick Record = 9-4
Strong Pick Record = 6-5
Regular Pick Record = 4-8

------------------------------

Kansas City @ Pittsburgh

Best Pick = OVER 36.5

Pittsburgh is way overdue to have a productive
passing game. I'm tired of hearing all the excuses
for Ben Roethlisberger, it's time to start
producing, and he should at home against an
average KC defense. Kansas City is starting to get
their offense rolling, scoring 64 points in their
last two games. Steelers linebacker, Joey Porter
will sit this one out with a hamstring injury,
which is a big bonus for LJ and company. David
Huard has been playing extremely well for the
injured Trent Green, and should continue that
success against a shakey Pittsburgh secondary.

--------------------------------------------------

San Diego @ San Francisco

Best Pick = San Diego -9.5

San Diego is a far better team. Period. San Fran
also have two starting lineman hurt, and that
spells disaster for them against this blitz hungry
team. Philip Rivers is confident and Marty is
finally loosening the leash on him. The sky is the
limit with this team.

--------------------------------------------------

San Diego @ San Francisco

Best Pick = OVER 42

San Francisco games are averaging over 50 points
per game. I don't see that letting up one bit,
expecially the way San Diego's offense is playing.
The Charger's are good for 34, just hope the
49ers can mustard up 8 points.

--------------------------------------------------

Chicago @ Arizona

Best Pick = Chicago -10.5

The Bears are hands down the best team in football.
Arizona is coming into this game with rookie QB,
Matt Leinart, who looked good in his first start
last week. That was against an average at best
Kansas City defense. The Bears possess the best
defense in the league, and will be bringing
everything at the rook. The Cardinals are also
without star WR Larry Fitzgerald, who is out with
a hamstring injury. That spells disaster for them.
With Fitzgerald and Bolden on opposite sides of
the field, it opens up everything else. Without
that, they're a one side threat. The Bears roll
by 17+ in the Monday Night Football game, and show
everyone they're for real.

--------------------------------------------------

Oakland @ Denver

Best Pick = Denver -15

Denver showed last week how dominant at home they
can be by beating a good Baltimore team. Oakland is
a joke of a team, and Denver should have this one
wrapped up by halftime.

--------------------------------------------------

Cincinnati @ Tampa Bay

Strong Pick = Cincinnati -5.5

The Bengals are coming off a bye week, which
allowed recovery time for some key players. I
see Chad Johnson having a huge week after being
fairly quiet all season. As long as the Bengals
can contain the Bucs running game, they should
cruise through this one.

-------------------------------------------------

Tennessee @ Washington

Strong Pick = Washington -10

I think Washington matches up very well against
Tennessee. Clinton Portis will go off against
this defense, rushing for 150+ yards. The Skins
defense should have no problem as well containing
rookie QB, Vince Young. Don't be fooled by the
Titans near upset of the Colts last week, they
lose big in Washington this week.

-------------------------------------------------

N.Y. Giants @ Atlanta

Strong Pick = Atlanta -3

The Giants are a really good team, but they seem
to lack consistency. Last week they beat
Washington 19-3, and the game before that they
lost to Seattle 42-30. Atlanta has one of the best
defenses in the league, and John Abraham is back
after missing 3 games to injury. Eli Manning is
still a young Quarterback and will make mistakes
against defenses like this. It all comes down to
Atlanta not turning over the ball and playing
smart football. Only spotting a field goal looks
pretty good if they do.

--------------------------------------------------

Seattle @ St. Lious

Strong Pick = Seattle -3

I love that the Seahawks are coming off a bye week
after getting torched by the Bears two weeks ago.
This gives them plenty of time to get it together
and practice without the injured Shaun Alexander,
who looks to be out for atleast two more weeks.
St. Louis isn't as good as their record (4-1)
indicates, and that will be exposed be Seattle
who will want to rebound in a big way.

--------------------------------------------------

Houston @ Dallas

Regular Pick Dallas -12

Dallas will be fired up after playing poorly last
week, after still having a chance to win in
Philadelphia last week. Drew Bledsoe was pathetic
in that game, but the offensive line didn't play
well either. If Bledsoe has an average game for a
veteran QB, Dallas will win 9 out of 10 games
every time. Houston does'nt have much of a
defensive front, so Bledsoe will have more time to
make good decisions. Houston also lacks a ground
game. This will allow Dallas to devote most of
their defense to stopping the pass. Dallas is
plain and simple one of those teams that will over
power any team that isn't well balanced. Parcells
also hates losing two in a row and will make sure
to go up big to prevent any type of comeback in
this one.

-------------------------------------------------

Buffalo @ Detriot

Regular Pick = Detriot +1.5

Detriot is 0-5, and need a win in the worst way.
Last week they went into Minnesota and had a
17-3 lead in the 4th quarter, and ended up blowing
it and losing the game. Detriot should have some
success at stopping Willis McGahee as well, which
is crucial if your going to beat the Bills. Bottom
line, the Lions are desperate for a win and will
do whatever they have to do to get it done and get
that monkey off their back.

--------------------------------------------------

Carolina @ Baltimore

Regular Pick = Carolina +3

Your defense can't win every game for you, which
was on display after the Broncos beat the Ravens
13-3 this past Monday. McNair lacks a big play
reciever, and Jamal Lewis is nowhere near the
running back he used to be. Carolina's defense
should contain Baltimore's offense. Carolina is
solid offensively and should be able to put up 20
on a bruised Baltimore team. Deangelo Williams
will miss this game, which will make me lay off
this just a bit, but Foster should be able to
handle most of the carries and move the ball in
this one.

--------------------------------------------------

Philadelphia @ New Orleans

Regular Pick = Philadelphia -3

Here are 2 teams that you really did not expect to
be 4-1. Philadelphia is defenitely the better
defensive team. Westbrook is going to play as well
which is always a major factor for the Eagles to
have success. Should be a high scoring game, but
the way McNabb has been playing and Westbrook in
the line-up, I like Philly only giving 3 here.

--------------------------------------------------

Last week I posted Carolina -8 as one of my Best
Picks, but actually had Carolina -7.5. Carolina
won by 8 so -8 would have been a push, and -7.5
would have been a winner. Below I included my
betting slip so nobody thinks I'm counting a tie
as a win. I had a busy weekend and didn't even
start my write-ups till noon on Sunday, and as you can
see below I got this bet in 1 minute before the game
even started. Just a typo on my part trying to hurry
up and share my picks before kickoff.
