NFL Week 7: Every ?Dog has its Day

By SPORTSBETTING.COM

We?re in the middle of October, seven weeks into the NFL season and although the playoff picture is far from being set, things are starting to take shape.

There have been some surprises this season, including the AFC East leading Buffalo Bills, granted the Bills have been greatly aided by the injury to New England Patriots QB Tom Brady; SPORTSBETTING.COM has the Bills listed at -120 to maintain their pace and win the AFC East.

Currently sitting at 4-1, the Bills play host to the San Diego Chargers this Sunday and are listed as 1-point home faves with a total set at 45.5.

Prior to last week?s bye, Bills QB Trent Edwards suffered a concussion but the week off did him good and he is listed as probable for Sunday?s game.

The Chargers might not be as lucky in the injury department as WR Chris Chambers is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

Although the Bills haven?t done well against the Chargers dating back to 1985 (2-6 straight up), they?ve been above .500 against the spread, going 4-3-1 in the same span of time and have gone Over five out of the last eight contests.

The majority of bettors don?t like the Bills? chances this week though as 57% of the action is coming in on San Diego.

People suspected the Indianapolis Colts would probably get off to a slow start considering QB Peyton Manning had knee surgery in the summer?or two surgeries as it was recently revealed.

After going 1-2 to start the season, the Colts have taken two straight wins and can go for three in a row when they face the Packers in Green Bay this week and they have a good shot based on history.

SPORTSBETTING.COM has Indy favored on the road by 1.5-points.

The past six times the two have met, the Colts have not only done well straight up, going 4-2; they have done even better against the spread, going 5-1.

The betting public, however, doesn?t seem sold on Indy despite its streak and 56% of the betting volume is going the way of the underdog home team.

For a team that lost its starting QB, the New England Patriots aren?t doing too badly.

The Pats are currently 3-2 and are far from out of the AFC East race, in fact if Buffalo loses (see above) and New England wins they?ll be tied for the division lead.

The Pats host the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football this week?with New England listed as a 3.5-point fave?and history has not been kind to New England when they play the Broncos as the Chowder Heads have burned holes in the pockets of bettors, going 3-16 SU and 4-15 ATS against Denver dating back to 1984.

Betting on the Patriots at home the last 17 years has been an equally bankroll burning endeavor as well as New England has gone 1-5 SU and ATS when hosting Denver.

The public seems to be hip to the Pats? struggles against the Broncos and SPORTSBETTING.COM is seeing 61% of the wagers on Denver.
