i would substitute "fantasy" for "great imagination", which maybe be more accurate as to his intentions and how it may apply to us, meaning, going beyond the acceptable standards and looking for the perceived impossible outcome, like looking for a reason why carol will upset st louis. well, maybe not as simple as that.
