I am the first to admit that I don't pay attention to the NHL until the conference finals and Stanley Cup. I also have a basic understanding of offside and icing calls, otherwise :shrug::shrug::shrug:
Having said that, I buddy of mine told me that he was doing well with 1st period team total goal bets. If anyone here is on Twitter check out @HubFlyer https://twitter.com/HubFlyer. Every morning he posts an updated list of NHL 1st period Teams over/under 1.5 and 2 total goals for the last 10 games through the previous night's games. You can scroll through his posts to see how everything is updated day-to-day. For some reason I am unable to post a picture, so here is a link to today's post.

My buddy texted me yesterday morning that Anaheim's 1st period over 1.5 goal total was 11-1 the past 12 games. I threw a little $$$ on the +460 over 1.5 and hit as the Ducks scored 2 goals in the 1st.
