3* Montreal -0.5 +100
Theo and the Habs have been rolling pretty hard lately. They are 7-1-1 in their last 9 at home. They are 6-0-1 in Theo's last 7 home starts, outscoring opponents 23-8. Theo has stopped 125 of the last 130 shots he's faced, allowing just 1 goal per game in each of his last 5 starts. Montreal has allowed just 1 power play goal during that time as well. Theo has a very solid 1.76 GAA and .938 in his career against Tampa. He is also an impressive 10-1-2 in his last 13 hosting U.S.-based teams, losing only to the Rangers when Dunham was hot earlier this year. Offensively, the Habs are benefitting from the play of Saku Koivu, who has a point per game since the beginning of December, as well as Mike Ryder who leads all rookies with 18 assists and 27 points this season. Considering Tampa's recent struggles, they'll get some good scoring chances tonight. The Ning are just 1-5-1 in their last 7 on the road, allowing 3.43 goals per game, with Bulin starting all of those. He allowed 5 goals to Ottawa last time out. Bulin has a 2.86 GAA and .886 SP lifetime against Montreal, and has never done well north of the border, where Tampa is 0-4-0 this season. Considering the Habs have been most unfriendly hosts lately, Tampa's road struggles are very likely to continue here.
